Made the best Chef's Salad I've ever had. The cucumbers were perfect crispness not too hard and not too rubber. Lettuce was fresh and not wilted, tomatoes had great flavor. Breakfast is great way to start your day. Bacon was crisp and not burnt. Eggs were not like rubber. Sausage and ham were perfectly grilled. Biscuits and gravy are some of the best in town. I give this place 5 stars.

If you've watched my top ten video, you know the story about Pappy's Place. If not, you really should watch it! The 2 year "Google Maps time limit" must be up, because it's letting me renew my review. Which works perfectly because Pappy's has new ownership! But, it's the same great food, same historic location, same great service, just new folks behind the bar. I do have to mention I was talked into sampling their chili. WOW! Probably the best I've ever had outside of my house! Please go try a burger and the chili. And tell them the Hillbilly sent ya.

I had the Ruben Burger. It was delicious. My husband had the Cuban and it was equally as delicious ! We will definitely go back.

My friend and I travel the Midwest visiting minor league baseball stadium. And we like to have BBQ on these trips. He found Pappy's so we gave it a shot. We haven't stopped talking about it since. I had burnt ends and he had brisket, and both were great! Great doesn't even do it justice. I tried the sauce on my chips, and it was good, but the burnt ends didn't need them at all! Tender, tasty, and delicious. Just need an excuse to get down there from KC again...SOON!!!
